FAQ

What type of issues do you take on?

DeBee Clark handles a wide variety of issues including personal and business tax liability, tax return preparation, Oklahoma and federal tax audits, mergers and acquisitions, business valuation and compliance, wills and/or trust preparation or updates, probate, nonprofit compliance, charitable solicitation compliance, nonprofit information return preparation, formation of most types of nonprofit and for-profit entities, and a number of other transactional law issues. Our firm does not handle litigation but we will coordinate with litigation counsel if we represent a client on transactional matters that are related to the litigation.

What are your business hours?

Our lobby is open from 8:00am to 5:00pm (CST), Monday through Friday. We post on our social media accounts when the office is closed for holidays or other unexpected situations.

Do I need to come to your office and meet in person to retain you?

We prefer personal contact when working with clients but we understand that is not always possible. Our staff is comfortable meeting virtually and over the phone when preferred by the client or required by circumstances. We have a variety of ways we can “meet” including phone conferences, in-person meetings, or videoconferences.

If I retain your services, how much will my legal fees be?

Once we can more fully understand the intricacies of each client’s questions and goals for representation, we are committed to working towards the most cost effective cost solutions for everyone. We will discuss full details regarding cost of services during our initial consultations.

How does the attorney-client relationship work? What is expected of me, and what kind of communication should I expect from the firm?

After you retain our firm, we communicate in person or via phone or email, whichever is more convenient for you and the scope of services involved. Our secure client portal is used to share files whether this is documents we need from you or documents we prepared for your consideration. Depending on the urgency of the matter at hand, we can move as expediently as required. Upon engagement, we can lay out a projected timeline and discuss any questions you may regarding the process.
